This course is designed to provide personnel with essential knowledge and practical skills for working safely in environments where hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) may be present and for responding effectively to emergency situations.
The training covers hazards associated with H₂S, its formation mechanisms, areas of occurrence, alternative names, as well as its physical properties and characteristics. Participants are introduced to key concepts, including concentration measurement units such as parts per million (ppm), exposure limits, and occupational exposure standards (OEL/WEL).
The practical component focuses on the safe use of personal protective equipment when dealing with H₂S hazards and emergency situations. Participants practice using personal gas detectors (including functional checks), responding appropriately to alarm signals, and using escape breathing apparatus (EBA) with both mask and hood configurations.Sign in to leave a comment
